A native of Berlin, Maryland, Carol Rose is an active historian on the Eastern Shore, serving 11 years on the Berlin Historic District Commission – the past five as chairwoman. She is also vice chair of a committee to establish guidelines on naming public properties and serves on the board for the Calvin B. Taylor House Museum. Carol’s family, on both sides, has lived in Worcester County for generations, and she has traced her father’s family back to the 1700s. She will discuss the early history and industry of Berlin, and who knows, maybe you’ll learn a bit about your own ancestors!
